Whether you are new to metta meditation or have some experience, you are welcome to attend this series. We will begin with an introduction to metta meditation, explore the use of metta for ourselves, then explore using metta for others.

Recent studies have shown mindfulness helps reduce stress, pain, depression and mood swings, improves anxiety, positive affect and assists one in targeting interpersonal problems.

Meditation has had a profound impact on my life. I’ve been meditating since 2004 and have received training in the following types of meditation:

  • Mantra Meditation

  • Primordial Sound Meditation
  • Mahasati Meditation

I am currently enrolled in the Mindful School program to teach meditation to students from Kindergarten to the 12th grade.

Meditation Series (with a little yoga)

When I was living in California I attended a Meditation Group at a tiny apartment in Laguna Beach. 20 or more of us squeezed into this small space. All eyes and ears were on our teacher. We shined like jewels around a dazzling centerpiece as we practiced. I couldn’t stay away.The practice transformed me and I always dreamed of starting my own sangha. (community of practitioners)

Now is the time to shine! Please join us. No experience is required and new and returning students are welcome.

During this meditation series we’ll discover a few different techniques in a comfortable environment. We’ll also practice a few yoga stretches to prepare our minds for meditation. You’ll see what your preferences might be. Chairs are available. 

Choose Monday nights from 7:30-8:30 PM, Wednesday mornings from 9:00-10:00 AM or both!

The Monday Series meets 5/23-7/11, 6 weeks (skips 5/30 and 7/4 due to Memorial Day and July 4th) on Monday nights from 7:30-8:30 PM.

The Wednesday Series meets 5/25-6/29, 6 weeks, on Wednesday mornings from 9:00-10:00 AM.

The series cost is $100. The fee for both series is $160.
